Four of the most exciting young UK jazz musicians currently playing have joined forces in paying homage to their forebears & the innovators of improvised music with A Flower Is A Lonesome Thing, a 6-track recording of classic songs made famous by noted jazz musicians such as Thelonius Monk, Jimmy Van Heusen & John Coltrane, among others.

Multi-instrumentalist James Allsopp (David Axelrod) & Freud bandmate, drummer Tim Giles, are joined here by bassist Riaan Vosloo (Nostalgia 77 Octet, Twelves Trio) & saxophonist Ross Stanley (Heritage Orchestra).

This beautifully packaged vinyl-only release is limited to 300 copies worldwide, each sleeve individually printed.
