This is a wonderful set up maps, making the world that Martin has created even more vivid. The art is fantastic and very descriptive. The only issue is that since the maps are quite large they are folded over to fit into the box, so when you open them be careful and do it slowly so they don't rip. This also means there are going to be creases on them. But nonetheless a solid buy or gift for collectors or casual fans alike.
If you're a fan of The song of Ice and Fire buy it now :)

Author Biography
Jonathan Roberts grew up in a old farmhouse between a ruined castle and a Bronze Age fort, so lands of the imagination were never far away. These days Roberts illustrates maps of real and imaginary worlds for a wide range of clients, from brides looking for an unusual wedding map to Wizards of the Coast and IDW comics for the many lands of Dungeons and Dragons. Along with his own illustration work for books and games, Roberts has curated New York gallery shows of maps by illustrators around the world.
George R.R. Martin sold his first story in 1971 and has been writing professionally since then. He spent ten years in Hollywood as a writer-producer, working on The Twilight Zone, Beauty and the Beast, and various feature films and television pilots that were never made. In the mid '90s he returned to prose, his first love, and began work on his epic fantasy series, A Song of Ice and Fire. He has been in the Seven Kingdoms ever since. Whenever he's allowed to leave, he returns to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he lives with the lovely Parris, and two cats named Augustus and Caligula, who think they run the place.
