Assassin's Creed (Classic) reviews

Unlike most of the reviewers here i thought the futuristic twist to the storyline was great adding depth and complexity to the plot, rather than just you assassinating people for no real reason. yes the tasks can get repetitive, and assassination missions pretty much play out the same each time but the free roaming and combat easily make up for this. If your looking for a game that makes you feel like the ultimate bad***, then this is it.

This game is so sick… the free running, jumping from building to building, the missions… its just a whole lot of fun.. can't wait till the 2nd Assassin's Creed comes out. I think it'll be hard to top this one.. and the price is pretty good as well.. great game!

This is one of the greatest games ever. The futuristic twist gave me a really great gaming experience. This is a great game from a great series

This is truly turning into a classic 360 game. Its got all you want, a great story line, weapons, betrayal and even a little bit of a history lesson.

If you haven't got this game on your shelf yet, get it now before its too late.

Have you ever fell for a girl who is beautiful but when you talk to her and get to know her she really just isn't compatible? Well I meet a game that makes me feel exactly the same and Assassins Creed is that game! Don't get me wrong the game is absolutely beautiful, the cities are massively constructed and are not opened till later on in the game but still the cities are huge!

Free running away from guard is really fun and the A.I is quite good as well as guards will be climbing after you and calling for archers to take you down. The Combat could be better but have some depth only if you want to make the fights more dramatic but if your looking for blood then it is easy to take down guards quickly and counter there attacks.

The real problem comes from the story, a very confusing storyline with flashbacks galore and a real complex plot to get your head around with swapping from real life to dream life and also not having a complete story is at times frustrating and annoying.

If you have read the early reviews you will notice the word “Repetitive” come up alot. Well it really seems like the disc has been scratched like a old school vinyl LP because all objectives just seem like a broken record over and over and over again! It really just hurts such a beautiful game that needed variety but instead all that was given was a rushed attempt at story makeup.

So if your looking for a game that is pretty when it puts her makeup on but then when gets down to it is ugly then this is your game.

If you're into movies such as the ‘Bourne’ series, you will like this. Being the assassin you are able to play the game with your own tactics. The game does get a bit repetitive towards the end (which comes too soon).

Tip for Xbox users, during the last few levels, make sure you only have 1 controller in the Xbox or else it can get very buggy.

I found assassins creed to be a fast paced brilliant game, for about an hour, after that i realised it was the same thing over and over again.

That said, it does everything right, but there isnt enough variation

The combat is brilliant, with close ups and counters making it exciting, until you realise you are seeing the same thing over and over again.

The free running is brilliant as well, and this is one thing that NEVER gets old. You can climb anything that looks climbable and it will keep you occupied for ages!

The story is average at best, as it is not very deep.

Overall it is a great game for the first few hours.

This is an awesome RPG, with hours of game play, well thought out story line, fantastic graphics, never got bored playing, great free roaming, for all skill levels and abilities, what are you waiting for? Get this game if you haven't already – especially since the price is so cheap.

while this gamesa engine is way cool and the grapics and the way the game is presented is overall awsome its actully the story line thats a real let down and the way it ends sucks i mean you just log on to all there computers and there is nothing else you can do and the achivments are at a good level of difficulty its just a bit easy clocknig it as it took me less than five hours and i need a good game as i spend at least three hours a day on my 360 and thats only on a school day.

This game is fun and I love the free roaming! I free roamed for hours just exploring all the enviroment! The graphics are excellent as well as the moves But I thought that the story line wasn't very great. I love jumping of high building escaping guards and assassinating targets but i hoped the story was better. Still great game and fun for a long time! 4/5 GOOD

Playing as Alti'er you are asked to go back into you memorys as an assassin. The game play is set around four huge maps of people that interact with you. The am of the game is steakth but is also great for all on all brawls! The ending sets it up for sequal so get gaming

This game was alright, not the best of games. I mean the graphics were excellent, the game play was good (minus the button bashing) but what really let this game down was the storyline. You think with all that time spent on making the graphics good they would of at least put in a decent storyline.

Hopefully the next installment is better.

The free running stuff was awesome and the contols were good but the game play felt a bit repetitive towards the end. I liked the story and the graphics were good too. Even still it was an awesome game with a unique feel and just fun to play around in.

Not a bad game by far but I do agree with some of the others on the repetitive front, which is a shame but on the whole I actually really enjoyed Assassins Creed, can pick up some pretty easy achievements and looks great! Has some awesome moves that I personally thought were awesome but felt that the cut scenes were a bit to long and boring. But overall highly decent game, worth the money!

I've played these in the wrong order, I finished Assassins Creed 2 first so this isn't quite as good; however if I'd played this first I would have thought it was brilliant. It's still good though and I'm enjoying it; just miss being able to swim without drowing!

I have been playing it every day! The story and ideas are so incredible. This was a fabulous purchase!

The game that started it all what can i say sure not as good as Assasins Creed II or Brotherhood or Revelations but it is the original one and still fun to play great exploration story etc well worth the money

I enjoyed playing this game mostly because there was always something to do. And it was a very good way to open up the next assasins creed games.

Assassins creed is a great series. I didnt really like this game because I played assassins creed 2 before and it was much better. But still its a good game with a good story behind it.

I enjoyed this game as if gave a freash perspectave on platform games the only down side is it is quite repetative in the storyline

One of the best games Ive played. the game is fun in every way and the story is extremely fun and exiting . the only thing is about the game is u do the same thing over and over but don't let that get u down its still fun to just sneak around and taking out your targets. its a great game and just the beginning of a legendary game. recommended to people who likes assassin games.

Awesome by any measure, although wouldnt be the game it is without A.C. 2

i enjoyed this game greatly! but the game is very repetitive and too easy. The tasks in the game seem to be like you have already done them before and that gets boring. The fighting also is easy but also quick to learn and great to watch but it is very simple to kill people. The story line was great and it was historical, with fantastic weapons, but it seemed the game was a bit short. But overall a pretty fine game!!
