Description

The year is 1764 and for the past two years a mysterious beast has been killing scores of women and children in the Gevaudan region of France. With the whole country shaken by these inexplicable killings, the King decides to send scientist Gregoire du Fronsac (Samuel Le Bihan) and his taciturn Mohawk companion and martial arts expert Mani (Mark Dacascos) to investigate. Brotherhood Of The Wolf brilliantly combines breathtaking action sequences, lush production values, high-flying martial arts, gloriously atmospheric photography, stunning costumes, a superb cast and special effects courtesy of Jim Henson's Creature Shop.

5 stars "Stunning"

Considering Brotherhood Of The Wolf is now 10 years old the transfer to Bluray has been well worth it and unlike the European release this regions release does contain the English dubbed audio in stunning 5.1 HD Master Audio, the Low Frequency Bass Effects are nothing less than awesome.

This film is quite the masterpiece from french director Christopher Gans as he retells one of the great fables from French myth however after doing some research on the subject have found that this is more truth than just fable.

This was indeed a stunning movie on the big screen, the costumes, musical score and the performances were all incredible to say the least and credit must go to the English dubbed audio which after a few moments seems to blend perfectly in with the performers lip movements.

A very worth while addition to your HD collection..motion pictures of this quality only come along once in a while
