Description

From director, Peter Jackson - the iconic story of the gigantic ape captured in the wild and brought back to civilisation where he meets his tragic fate.

Naomi Watts plays Ann Darrow, an actress from the world of vaudeville who finds herself out of a job in Depression-era New York. Her luck changes when she meets Carl Denham (Jack Black). Denham is an entrepreneur, raconteur, adventurer and filmmaker who is struggling to make a name for himself in the entertainment industry. Bold ebullient and charismatic, Denham has a natural sense of showmanship and an appetite for greatness, which ultimately leads to catastrophe.

Adrien Brody steps into the role of Jack Driscoll, a New York playwright who becomes an unlikely hero in a romantic adventure story that will test his physical courage and his heart…

5 stars "A Labour Of Love"

Brilliant transfer to 1080p and a soundtrack that will make your floorboards shudder.
This Blu-ray contains both the original theatrical release plus the Peter Jackson extended cut which includes the intense swamp scene, one wonders why hollywood moguls have such scenes cut from a film but if you intend to watch Kong in all its splender then watch the extended cut,if you know the movie well then its quite amazing to see just how many scenes Peter Jackson put back into his masterpiece.
King Kong is not to everyones taste and you hear a lot of people mention due to its length, however to tell a story of such grandure it would be impossible to do such in under 3 hours.Kong is a tribute to the passion of Peter Jacksons vision and the marvel that is our very own Weta Digital.
