Unable to convince the ruling council of Krypton that their world will destroy itself soon, scientist Jor-El takes drastic measures to preserve the Kryptonian race: He sends his infant son Kal-El to Earth. "Still The Best"
From the opening theme written by John Williams that thunders across your living room to the opening lines spoken by Marlon Brando,Superman is still, as it was on its release in 1978 a true classic, one might even say one of the best transitions from comic book to big screen. To many who watch Superman it becomes quite obvious that there has always been and in many terms always will be only one person who could have played this role, Christopher Reeve shines in both roles as Clarke Kent and then Superman, Gene Hackman proves once and for all that he was born to play Lex Luther, one moment serious, the next a comic geneis.
In all Superman The Movie rates as one of the great moments in Hollywood movie making. Picture and sound quality are brilliant, although only a digital 5.1 surround track, the power that you will experience from your home theatre will not disappoint.
Add this to your collection and relive a great adventure again and again
"The best super man movie ever made"
Sure it doesnt have high graphics like movies do today, but all round the stry line is brilliant as well as the actors bring a great performance, especially christopher reeve who plays clark kent and superman.
