Description
A lone warrior, Eli (Denzel Washington), walks in a post-apocalyptic wasteland that was once America. He heads west on a mission he does not fully understand but knows he must complete. In his possession is the last copy of a book he fiercely guards with his life for it holds the only hope for the future. Only Carnegie (Gary Oldman), a self-appointed warlord ruling a town of thieves and gunmen, understands the power Eli holds and is determined to make it his own. But nothing can stand in Eli's way to fulfill his destiny and bring help to a ravaged humanity.

"IT HAS DENZEL"
I mean, who doesn't like Denzel Washington? I really enjoyed the concept of this movie, the soundtrack was also particularly impressive. Denzel pulls out another exceptional performance as well, which goes without saying. On a side note, it reminded me hugely of the game Fallout 3, so if you liked that game, you may also like this movie.

"Great movie with interesting twists and turns"
Leaving me with the thought could this posssibly happen. Maybe!
"Perhaps Overly Religeous..."
…but an intriguing story and concept nonetheless. I left this one thinking about “what ifs” which is one of the best things a movie can do.
Action's superb with some excellent gunplay and knife fighting, and the post-apocalyptic world is well realised – in gruesome ways. Acting from Washington and Oldman is superb!
I'm glad to have it on my shelf – it has a useful story of hope twined throughout the narrative that is a little different from other “the world has ended” stories.
"Cool movie with well worked plot & top cast"
A very good movie that is worth re-watching to figure out the twists & turns. Don't buy it if you like being brain dead because the ending will have you re-thinking the rest of the movie.
