Description

This deluxe edition will be slip-cased with quarter binding, gold foiled, head and tail bands, and a ribbon.

The first volume in the hugely popular and highly acclaimed epic fantasy series, A Song of Ice and Fire. There is passion here, and misery and charm, grandeur and squalor, tragedy, nobility and courage. Now a major Sky Atlantic TV series from HBO, starring Sean Bean. Summers span decades. Winter can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun. It will stretch from the south, where heat breeds plot, lusts and intrigues; to the vast and savage eastern lands; all the way to the frozen north, where an 800-foot wall of ice protects the kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men! all will play the Game of Thrones. Winter is coming!

Author Biography

5 stars "Cool!"

Had a lot of fun with this. Really recommend buying this. If you like the fantasy realm and being taken into another dimension then definitely buy this. It is truly a work of art. I have read it so many times now but still am not sick of it. Hope to see this series carry on strongly as I dearly enjoy it!

4 stars "Hefty tome worthy of the novel it contains."

Solid binding and box set. Decent-sized print, thick paper, and ribbon bookmark. Only complaint is the lack of gold leaf on the edging, but that only means it won't flake off on your hands while devouring it greedily…
