"Best receipe book I have ever bought"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This book is great for those wanting to change there diet without missing out on all the yummy foods, I have a serious addiciton to chocolate and desserts and have been making good use of the treats in this book. The recipes have ingredients that one may not be used to using but are acutally great substitutes and taste just as good. Highly recommended.

"Great recipes and photos."

Great recipes but I found the book very difficult to keep open when I was using it as it's very dense. Other thing I didn't like about it was that some of the recipes have ingredients on one page and method on the following page which meant I had to keep flicking back and forth to get quantities all the time which was very messy and frustrating. (obviously I'm not one for having 15 bowls out on the bench with each ingredient measured before I start cooking!)

"Gorgeous healthy meals"

Great book, lovely recipes, easy to use

Description

Dr Libby's Real Food Chef is a whole cooking system born from the desire to inspire us to eat what Dr Libby calls ‘low human intervention food’, real food the way it comes in nature.

We live in an age where so much of our food has been processed, preserved, sprayed or chemically enhanced to increase its shelf life and make food more appealing to the human eye. While there are many conflicting health messages out there, health professionals are unanimous in their recommendations that a high plant diet is the most beneficial for optimal health and disease prevention.

Filled with delicious, nourishing recipes, beautiful images, quotes to inspire, and food education, the Real Food Chef has been designed to enhance your quality of life and give you more energy to live the life you love.

We eat, on average, 35 times a week and these eating occasions supply the cells of your body with the nutrients to give you optimal health, energy and vitality. Discover how Real Food can revolutionise how you feel.

Author Biography

Dr Libby Weaver (nee Ellis) (Ph.D) is one of Australasia's leading nutrition specialists and weight loss experts based in Auckland, New Zealand. Libby's passion for empowering people to make optimum health choices has led her to consult privately with individuals, in the coporate health arena, as well as with universities and the media. She is an author and a much sought after and passionate speaker covering a broad range of topics that leave her audiences well informed and uplifted. Libby completed her Ph.D examining biochemical and nutritional factors in children with autism at The University of Newcastle, Australia, the outcomes of which have affected the way in which the condition is treated in Australia and now also in New Zealand. It was through this work that Libby came to better understand the role various hormones play in influencing our body shape and size, our appetites, our responses to exercise and stress, clarity of thought, sleep patterns and a host of other behaviours. Working in two of Australia's leading health retreats, sharing these insights, Libby's concepts were often described as “life-changing”. She reaches a broad range of people from business men and women and stay-at-home parents, to prominent sportspeople and Hollywood stars. Dr Libby has heard stories of weight loss challenges from people of many different walks of life. For some it was as simple as sorting their energy intake versus their energy expenditure. For countless others, frustration stemmed from confusion about what to eat and a sense of frustration that after a period of effort with food and exercise still no loss of body fat was occurring. Dr Libby knew there had to be far more to weight loss than energy balance, or what she has come to call the calorie equation. Accidentally Overweight, Dr Libby's best-selling book, was born out of Dr Libby's research and her work with thousands and thousands of people. Dr Libby's powerful messages are delivered through the pages of her book, DVDs, and webinars as well as through her powerful live events, getting to the heart of nutritional and emotional issues which have the potential to alter an individual's health future. Dr Libby writes for numerous magazines and her first two best-selling books Accidentally Overweight and Rushing Woman's Syndrome are for everyone wanting to understand how they can support their body's chemistry and psychology to achieve optimal health.
