Having been in the city centre on the 22nd of feb I found this book a superb account of that terrible day. There is an array of visuals that illustrate well the damage that occured and the wording is well written. There is a good explanation of what happened in the city before during and after the shake as well as going into the science of the event.
What will stay with you is the dvd footage. There is some very graphic footage of cashel street in the aftermath. Seeing all this and hearing the alarms and sirens brought the memory of the day back and was a very emotional watch.
