Description

Homefront: The Voice of Freedom - a sci-fi thriller with back story to the upcoming Homefront game.

The year is 2027. Her infrastructure shattered and military in disarray, America has fallen to a savage occupation by the nuclear armed Greater Korean Republic. Abandoned by her former allies, the United States is a bleak landscape of walled towns and abandoned suburbs. This is a police state where high school stadiums have become detention centers, and shopping malls shelter armoured attack vehicles.

Set in the Homefront universe and co-written by John Milius (Red Dawn and Oscar Award-winning Apocalypse Now) and New York Times bestselling author Raymond Benson. Events take place at the onset of the attack, recounting the events of the previous fifteen years and the lead-up to the beginning of the game’s storyline.

Follow the story of Ben Walker, a hack reporter in Los Angeles. When North Korea attacks, he journeys across America, ultimately becoming an underground hero and working to inform the growing Resistance of Korean troop movement and oncoming attacks. But Walker is being tracked by the deadly Korean operative, Salmusa, whose task is to hunt down the elusive Voice of Freedom and eliminate the threat he presents to the occupiers....

5 stars "Action Packed"

This book is filled with action from cover to cover. It does a really good job of filling you in on how America got invaded. Hope they turn this into a series.
