This will have you drooling over each wonderful page of Ladies, a plate as It

to Trifle, This is a must have book for any daughter, wife, mother, lover who
has a remote interest in baking scrummy, yummies like custard squares.
Especially wonderful in this time of economic hardship…it shows the
economising thrift of those who have come before us. The recipes that were
linked to the Great Depression like the friendly road buns, is a testimony for
what great things can be done with flour, milk, eggs and butter!

I love this book 7 so purchased another one for a friend new to NZ. The
recipes are traditional, just the way my mother used to bake. The real way! No
additives, emulsifiers or any other numbered stuff that leaves us scratching our
heads.
I thoroughly recommend this book & with Xmas coming up, a great gift to
