"The next best thing after the TV show"
The book gives an insight into Stefan's character from his own point of view that makes fans of the tv show understand how he becomes the man that he is.
Interesting story lines where part of them was never mentioned on the tv show in those flashbacks scenes. Therefore this book makes a good reading to understand the full picture and complete story on Stefan's life, relationships with his father, Damon, Katherine and others.

"Good expansion of information only touched on in the TV series"
If I hadn't already been watching the TV series I would have found the “background” information interesting and a good accompaniment to the other books, also it was great to hear from Stefans perspective, but because I have been watching the TV series it was just an expansion on things I already knew. However Im still hooked enough with Stefans perspective to want to see what the other Diaries will be like and how they will develop.

An ok read im a big tv fan of the vampire diaries but this book just didn't do it for me I never finished it I got board with it and found the wording very childish but hey thats just me

this was a great book to read as it showed stefan and damons story of what happened to them that made them turn. it was mainly based on the tv show i found but it has helped me to understand damon and stefan in the show a little more. i would recomend this to anyone who is a fan of the show
"Excellent, Nice to Hear the Story from a different perspective"
Great book, I wasn't sure what to expect, the same story from a different viewpoint, but I was very pleasantly surprised, it answered a few questions from the original books, and gave a really nice sense of understanding to the story, loved these books
