The New Zealand Food Allergy Cookbook gives you healthy and delicious recipes that do not contain the most common allergens, making it easier for families to cope with food allergy. This comprehensive book covers not only the main meals of the day but also helps with baking, school lunches, kids parties and Christmas. The recipes are all easy to understand and all have clear lists distinguishing whether a recipe is dairy-free, wheat-free, etc. The introductory section contains invaluable help, explaining food allergy and intolerance and giving advice on reading food labels, avoiding cross-contamination in the kitchen, and much more. A bible for all New Zealand food allergy sufferers and their families.

5 stars "The recipes work!"

After struggling to find edible substitutes for wheat, and experiencing many inedible cooking disasters, my dietitian recommended this book to me. Best buy ever! I tried the rice and buckwheat waffles last night, substituted real egg for egg replacer and cow's milk (Trim) for the lactose-free options, and made perfect, tasty, waffles.

The recipes are adaptable, and with the abundance of wheat, gluten, dairy, soy, egg, and nut-free recipes to play with, it is the ideal book for people with multiple food intolerances. It is one of the best recipe books in my large collection. I can eat again! And, Mighty Ape is selling it at the best price around… :-)

"Practical Book"

Brought this for a friend, and after reviewing many of this kind of book we found this was the best. Being NZ written its relevant and practical recipes make everyday life living gluten free a breeze.

4 stars "Wonderful tool for newcomer to allergies"

Recipes are clearly marked with ‘dairy, wheat, gluten, etc free’ so you know immediately which are suitable. One disappointment is there are no ‘main meals’ included. However, the recipes therein are appetizing, easy to understand and follow. All in all – a great help in preparing a variety of healthy foods for an allergy sufferer! Definitely recommended.
