Description

A few years ago he created an album that became something of an underground classic. That defining record, Like Drawing Blood, was voted Triple J listeners' favourite album of 2006, and iTunes UK's Album Of The Year. In 2007 Gotye also won the ARIA Award as Australia's Best Male Artist and the platinum-selling album recently polled at number 11 in Triple J’s Hottest 100 Australian Albums Of All Time.

Gotye's highly anticipated follow up – Making Mirrors – is being lead by the unforgettable song ‘Somebody That I Used To Know (feat. Kimbra)’. Equally an exercise in emotional punch and classy restraint, the song features the vocals of rising star Kimbra, and recounts with heartbreaking clarity of the fall-out of a fading relationship. Within weeks of its release, the song's gorgeous video has been embraced globally with 800,000 views online and today it hit #1 on the Australian iTunes chart. Watch the video below.

5 stars "Fantastic songs, fresh songs and a fresh sound"

This is a must have album, uplifting songs with a little motown feel, good groove but new and fresh. No grinding guitars or dreary vocals. Sort of Frankie Goes to Hollywood meets Blue Nile. Love it

"AMAZIN'"

I was really impressed with the overall production, song structures and lyrically its top notch! I pretty much love every track and really felt like I was taken on a wee Gotye journey… So pleased I bought this album!
