Raven re-presents a classic alternative rock album by one of the most unique singer/ songwriters in American indie music – Stan Ridgway. Originally issued in 1989 Mosquitos has long been out of print and with Ridgway still touring and recording, interest in his music remains strong. Helping out on the recording were celebrated musicians including guitarist Marc Ribot, keyboardist Jim Lang, sax player Steve Berlin, singer Tori Amos who provides backing vocals and Van Dyke Parks whose string arrangement adorns ‘Heat Takes a Walk’. With superb quality audio, detailed notes, color booklet and 4 rare bonus tracks not issued on the original album.
