Description
2011 debut album from the Indie rockers. Produced by Paul Epworth (Adele/Florence and the Machine), Rich Costey (Muse/Interpol), and Greg Kurstin (Beck/Red Hot Chili Peppers), Torches delivers on both the promise of their breakthrough chart-topping single ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ and the promise of this young band out of Los Angeles.
The sound is universally uplifting, combining influences from Alternative's greats mixed with songs that make you dance. “Accessible yet challenging, gleaming yet gritty, pop yet petrifying: Foster The People are a fresh evolution of modern music.” – NME
This special tour edition of the album Torches features a second CD with 7 bonus audio tracks – 3 previously unreleased tracks and 4 remixes of crowd favourites; Pumped Up Kicks, Helena Beat, Houdini and Call It What You Want.
After their appearance at the Big Day Out 2012, this album has everything you need.

There are definite gems on this album. But there are some songs that I just can't seem to get into – they either irritate me or are too similar to the other songs.
Disc 1.
Disc 2.
The good songs in this album are suitable for parties where people can bob their head to the beat. The memorable songs (pumped up kicks, call it what you want, watste, etc) are also good to dance to in the morning when you're getting ready for the day (… Personal experience).
So you're wanting to know whether it's worth getting this 2 disc set- I would say no. I had listened to the 1st disc countless times but I've only listened to the 2nd disc twice (the 2nd time in order to write this review).
Also, my laptop can't read the CDs (there are 2 discs) but the CDs still play on stereos/DVD players/any CD readable format. It's a pain because it prevents me from putting it onto an mp3.
