Description

Three female college students take a detour from their partying, enticed by a beautiful European woman who promises seclusion, safety and maybe even romance. What they get is a living hell where they are sold to the highest bidder who's fondest wish is to kill them slowly.

Hostel 2 also follows 2 American men who, on the flip side of the coin, are willing to pay to join an exclusive club where a life will end at their hands…any way they like. It's a story of human monsters and the almighty dollar as only Eli Roth could tell it!

4 stars "A new twist to the original"

This time it is the girls turn to be terrorised by the residents of the Hostel. Plenty of blood and guts and a great finish. Looks like number 3 will come

4 stars "Continues the tradition..."

Only get this if you watched and enjoyed the original Hostel. This 2nd installment takes everything a step further. The ‘eye-gasm’ from #1 gets topped by a certain scene towards the end of the movie, a lot of backstory adds to the ‘business side’ of the Hunting Club and the weird Slovakian recptionist even makes an appearance or two. If you're a fan, buy it!

1 stars "More of the same awfulness"

Not sure why I agreed to watch this, but my friend wanted to see if the films were as bad as I said. He now agrees they are.

Same old grotesque, stomach churning violence mixed with (not even laughably) bad acting and 5 minutes of plot to justify the buckets of offal. It does have what might laughingly be called a twist ending, but it's bad enough that there is no real incentive to care. Really. It's most anticlimatic and cliched.

Frankly, if you're sad enough to have watched the first film and somehow have enjoyed it, you'll probably like this one as it's exactly the same bar a few different scenes of awful, grisly violence. Everyone above the age of 16 who isn't male/goth/emo should be content to stay clear and spend two hours of their lives doing something they may actually enjoy.
