"Good, but not great!"
I do love Legend of the Seeker. I really do. The action, the plot, the characters and the magic are al superb. It is only one flaw that brings it down for me. The fact that it doesn't follow its source text well enough.
Apart from characters, and the general plot, it misses out heaps of sub-plots and key elements that make the book series so engaging. If I had never read the books, I'd be giving this five stars straight off, but for the fact it doesn't respect Terry Goodkind's amazing series enough, I can't give this five stars.
I have three words of advice.
- Watch this without reading the books.
- Read the books AFTER watching the series.
- Take the series for something new, and ignore the fact it is based on the book series.
So not great, but very, very good.

"Possibly the most under-rated show ever"
Legend of the Seeker is amazing. When you watch it you can't help but love it – however this was unfortunately one of those shows that never reached a wide audience. Wrong time slot. Wrong night. This show is incredible- and it's filmed in NZ

This show was one of the best I have seen. Extremely engaging with a vibrant story and characters that pull you in. This is a definitely high recommendation if you have read Terry Goodkind's book and still a high recommendation if you have not.

I realy loved this TV show. It took me back to the days of Xena (less the cheese factor lol) Great characters and story. If you love shows in the theme of Xena, Hercules, Beastmaster etc then you will love this. I cant wait for the next season to come out on DVD =)
