Description
Les Misérables in Concert - The 25th Anniversary Event was recorded live from London’s famous O2 theater on October 3, 2010. Featuring the bravura songs “I Dreamed a Dream,” “On My Own,” “Stars,” “Bring Him Home” and more, the Les Misérables tribute concert marks the 25th anniversary of the musical and reunites the magnificent casts who have performed the “people’s musical” on the world’s stages for over two decades. This one-time tribute will also include a special performance from teen sensation Nick Jonas to mark this momentous 25th anniversary concert celebration.
Les Misérables in Concert - The 25th Anniversary Event features more than 500 actors and musicians including Alfie Boe as ‘Jean Valjean,’ Nick Jonas as ‘Marius,’ Norm Lewis as ‘Javert,’ Matt Lucas as ‘Thénardier,’ Lea Salonga as ‘Fantine,’ Jenny Galloway as ‘Madame Thénardier,’ and Katie Hall as ‘Cosette.’ Les Misérables has been seen by nearly 60 million people worldwide in 42 countries and 21 languages and is the third longest running show on Broadway after The Phantom of the Opera and Cats.
First produced in 1985 at London’s Barbican Centre and based on the novel by Victor Hugo, the musical Les Misérables follows the characters as they struggle for redemption and revolution in early nineteenth-century France. In 1987, it was nominated for 12 and won eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

A wonderful concert. Although it wasnt the actual stage show, the way it was presented with the artists and costumes made you feel as if you were there. Highly recommended.
