"Massive disappointment"
Hugely disappointing review of such an amazing tournament.
No coverage whatsoever of the opening game NZ v Tonga, or many other pool matches.
Doesn't capture any of the emotion or excitement that the tournament generated… Where were the national anthems, hakas, pre and after match interviews- This DVD tells no story-
The knock-out games are slightly more in-depth, but still nothing but highlights of the scoring plays.
Even the final they start the coverage at 13 minutes.
Massive let down
"A great moment in NZ history"
Having been at the final I didn't actually see the game on TV until now. It was great to relive the victory, although as others have stated it was a shame that the ceremony at the end is missing. One of the highlights for me at the game was when the All Blacks walked around the park afterwards showing the World Cup off to the crowd, and then did a haka in front of the eastern stands – it would have been great to have that on the DVD. But all in all it's an excellent memento of a pivotal moment in NZ history, when we finally got that RWC hoodoo off our backs.

great dvd, with full reviews and highlights of all Pool play and goes more in-depth on the finals. great to be able to see the full final again and will definitly put this dvd away for future reference.
some downers though. The medal ceremony and awarding of the trophy is not included. nor are some of my favourite highlights (Kahuis tackle on Quade Cooper is sorely missed)
but all in all a great dvd and a must have

Twenty-four long years after winning the inaugural Tournament the wait was over and captain and leader, Richie McCaw, raised the beautiful Webb Ellis Cup towards a proud New Zealand nation.
The All Blacks had marched imperiously to the Final despite losing the great man, Dan Carter, to injury after the pool stages. Les Bleus had surprised many to get to the Final; beaten by Tonga and New Zealand in their pool and with a narrow victory over 14-man Wales in the last four.
So to Eden Park and an immense, brutal final; with just moments left France had one last chance – a penalty kick to break 4 million hearts. It missed; as a nation we breathed again.

I've watched this and I'm going to watch the last 20 mins of the final again and again and again! What a game! What a win!!!
