Description

After enduring unspeakable torture, Dean escapes from Hell, rescued by an all-powerful creature he's never seen before - an Angel - a warrior of God who recruits Sam and Dean into Heaven's battle against Hell. And there are whispers that a certain fallen angel will soon be freed from his prison deep in Hell: Lucifer. If Sam and Dean can't stop it - if Lucifer walks free - he'll bring on the Apocalypse.

5 stars "And I Shall Raise You From Perdition.."

“My name is Castiel, and I am an Angel of the Lord.”

Those weren't the words Dean Winchester (or Myself) had been expecting to hear. Dean is released from Hell, and not knowing the reason why he soon discovers that his life is about to change.

That everything he believed is about to change. Enduring months (years in Hell time) of torture, Dean has returned with a tired, weary and slightly rough demenor.

His relationship with Sam becomes strained when he learns that Sam has teamed up with Ruby. Secrets are being kept, and again when the truth comes out, it threatens to rip the Brothers apart.

Angels, Demons and the threat of the Apocalypse, its a raise against the clock to stop Lilith. But who will endure, and are the Angels real the good guys?

Season Four, absolutely brilliant. I swear that each new Season improves itself from the previous. I'm currently now watching Season Five online, and I can assure you.. It just blows me away how kick ass this is getting.

Buy Season Four! Hell buy every single season! And when Season Five comes out? GET THAT TOO!

5 stars "ONE OF THE TV BEST SHOWS EVER"

Easily 10 out of 10. So much fun you'll never get tired of watching. So many memorable and funny episodes to enjoy and great one liners, as well as a great mixture of drama, comedy, action and horror. I HOPE IT NEVER ENDS.

My personal favourites episodes are In the Beginning which features Dean being sent back in time and meeting his mum and dad, the return of the yellow eyes demon and Dean saying “Sammy wherever you are Mum's a babe and I'm going to hell again.”

“Wishful Thinking” which features a giant walking talking and depressed teddy bear, an invisible pervert and a super strong little kid who lifts up cars and yells " Neel before Todd".

Monster Movie which is in black and white and takes the mickey out of classic monster movies.

A great watch for any audience and I highly recommend.

4 stars ""If I didn't know you, I would want to hunt you!""

This season can only be described as epic.

Season Three left Dean in Hell, subject to forty years of torture. Thirty years on the rack, ten years wielding the knife himself. Safe to say, when he returns top side he has a few issues.

For Sam it is the guilt, the helplessness, the realisation that Dean was burning away down there and he couldn't lift a finger to help. So when Season Four returns we see a Sam desperate for that power, desperate for revenge.

And thus the wedge is driven. Add in the arrival of some very well written, well acted angels (yes, angels), demons and an impending apocalypse the Winchester brothers don't fair well in this Fourth Season.

And that is the beauty of it. The angst is dialed up to twelve, the laughs are instant classics and the tension palpable. This is a brilliant season of television.

The DVD's extras are also juicy. There is a collection of very interesting features about mythology and religion – Heaven, Hell and everything in between – with interviews from the crew and religious experts. We also have some great deleted scenes and of course, the gag reel is a hilarious must.

This is the season Supernatural gained the love of the critics, arguably the season it offically gained its cult status.

Move over Buffy, move over X-Files, it is the story of two brothers and a car that everyone is talking about.

5 stars "Lucifer Rising."

As most of you probably know, Supernatural is a brilliant show that has the tendency to make you laugh, cry, and rip your heart out all at once.
After season 3 being interrupted by the WGA writer's strike Supernatural returned bigger and better than ever with the help of some new characters and interesting plot twists.

When my dvd arrived I will admit I went on to scream and weep uncontrollably and started watching it immediately, regardless of my final exams going on at the time.

This season introduced Castiel, an angel of the Lord, who ‘gripped Dean tight and raised him from perdition’. Such a likable character with his famous trenchcoat and ‘holy tax accountant’ look. It's great fun seeing him immersed in this newly acquired human vessel, trying to understand the ways of today's people.

The Winchester brothers are united once again, trying to find some answers. Their ‘dangerously codependent’ relationship has returned, along with some more playful banter and emotional hardships that will have you clawing at your face in despair.

We take a whole new turn with the plot delving into the apocalypse and dealing with the battle between heaven and hell.

Conclusively, our favourite demon-hunting bros are back with the same old legendary humour, nail-biting drama and (deny it all you want) homo-erotic subtext, with an all new season that is sure to be one of your favourites.
