After four decades on the planet, Andy Stitzer (Carrel) has still not had sex. He’s had a pretty good life in most ways, but there’s that one rather significant experience that has given him the slip. Andy works at an electronics store and when his workmates find out his secret, they think it’s time things changed. After all, Andy may have his odd ways, but weirder guys - and certainly plainer ones - have had at least one taste of something he has been denied.

No matter how hard his friends try to change Andy’s situation, the end result is that in one particular area he still remains a non-participant. And then he meets Trish (Catherine Keener) and Andy’s pals start to hold out hope for him - until they discover the arrangement that he and Trish have made concerning their relationship…
