DiVoom Iris-02 USB Notebook Speakers [Purple]

Given the size of the speakers, they produce some good sound. Only drawback I found is you would need to have a USB extension cable in case your headphone jack isn't very close to the USB port you're using for power, if you don't have one then you'll have to pull the USB+headphone cable apart to a suitable length

I bought these because my mother's laptop has really terrible speakers and when she tries to watch movies, the home entertainment system in our lounge overpowers it. This speaker system completely solved her problems! Now she uses it all the time and it's even good enough that my grandmother (who's hard of hearing) can enjoy movies on the laptop too. I definitely recommend this product! The sound is clear, even when you raise the volume.

Brought these as a gift for a friend and they loved them. Surprising how good the sound quality is for such wee things.

USB-powered, and small enough to be dragged around basically anywhere in a laptop bag.

Seems kinda pointless to bring external speakers for a laptop around, but the use of this item comes when you crank the volume dial to maximum.

It's… loud. And at the same time, loses none of that delicious sound quality. Loud enough to compete with a home theater from the other end of the house.

If you need more volume and don't want to sacrifice sound quality or use batteries, this is what you want. It works with MP3 players as well, although finding a handy USB port in such a situation would be a bit funky.

My only qualm is that it's purple. I'm not the biggest fan of purple.
