Genesis of the Daleks (1975 – Tom Baker)
This classic Doctor Who story was voted number one in a poll by Doctor Who
Magazine. Starring fans’ favourite Tom Baker as the fourth Doctor, “Genesis
of the Daleks” introduces the merciless villain Davros (Michael Wisher), and
tells the terrifying story of how the Daleks came to be. Transported back in
time to the planet Skaro Doctor Who and his companions have to try and stop
Davros from ever creating the Daleks.
Destiny of the Daleks (1979 – Tom Baker)
The Doctor (Tom Baker) and the newly-regenerated Romana land on a strangely
familiar planet and investigate the drilling that is going on there. The Daleks
are searching for their creator, Davros (last seen in ‘Genesis of the
Daleks’), in the hope that he can assist them in their war with the Movellans.
The Doctor has to reach the evil Kaled scientist before the Daleks, but just who
can he trust?
Resurrection of the Daleks (1983 – Peter Davison)
Peter Davison stars as the fifth Doctor in “Resurrection of the Daleks”.
Captured in a Time Corridor, the Doctor and his companions are forced to land on
20th Century Earth, after being diverted by the Daleks. It is here that the true
purpose of the Time Corridor becomes apparent: after 90 years of imprisonment,
Davros is to be liberated to assist in the resurrection of his army. But not
even the Daleks foresee the poisonous threat presented by their creator. Indeed,
who would suspect Davros of wanting to destroy his own Daleks – and why?
Revelation of the Daleks (1985 – Colin Baker)
“Revelation of the Daleks” stars Colin Baker as the sixth Doctor, with
Nicola Bryant as his assistant Peri, battling with his most enduring enemy, the
Daleks. The Doctor and Peri arrive on Necros to attend the funeral of an old
friend of who has recently died. However, Tranquil Repose is not all it seems
and an attempt is made on the Doctor's life. Soon the Doctor comes face to face
with the Great Healer, only to discover it is none other than Davros, the
creator of the Daleks, intent on rebuilding the Dalek race decimated by the
Movellans.
Remembrance of the Daleks – Special Edition (1987 – Sylvester
McCoy)
Although “Remembrance of the Daleks” is already available as a single DVD,
this box set exclusively contains a 2-disc special edition of the story. This
special edition of “Remembrance of the Daleks” features a host of extras!
“Remembrance of the Daleks” was the final original series Doctor Who story
to feature the titular mutant cyborgs, and is a particularly notable adventure
for the way it ties the plot into the very first story, “An Unearthly Child”
made 25 years before.
