"A huge, precise and lovingly compiled Who extravaganza"
5 stars"

The Doctor Who Encyclopedia is, for fans of the series, essential. Not only does it cover absolutely everything from every episode of the new series (including specials, mini episodes and even the adventure games on the BBC website), it contains amazing stills of the characters, objects and scenarios of all episodes on every page. Using an alphabetical format, information is easily accessed, and simply yet precisely written. My only qualm is the amount of unnecessary information – such as the artist of a song that played once – which can sometimes get in the way. However, this detracts nothing from the sheer scale of the volume, which exists as perhaps the best Who fact-book to date.
