"A bit of a let down for a DA:O fan.."
2 stars"

I couldn't bring myself to finish DA2, though I finished origins twice. The only merit I'd say it has is an improved art style and more interesting animations (if over the top). My complaints are, horrendously reused environments, the story being much more linear and detached than the first, some voice acting issues and a lot of gameplay bugs – my game is currently stuck on not being able to recruit one of the companions and they managed to leave out implementing auto-attack into console versions. If you're thinking about buying this game, I'd recommend waiting for a patch.

Quite disappointed to see that this game has obviously been rushed out the door to capitalize on origins.

"Great fun"
4 stars"

I did enjoy this game however Bioware elected to re-use the same scenery ,as such the wilds and caverns around Kirkwall all have the same layout. You will find that there are only so many unique locations in that they are directly related to the main plot. The side quests tend to run the same area with the same layout.

The main plot revolves around you in and around the city of Kirkwall, and it doesn't feel as epic as the first one did.

They have chosen to do away with giving you race choice, now you can only be human; though you do get choice of class; Warrior, Rogue, or Mage.

I found the Companion AI to be somewhat basic, you will want to setup your tactics for your squad as they won't know to take potions when low on health, also potions have timers, which I personally like, so no spamming pots.

Dragon Age 2 is a fun RPG romp, with it usual grand flair of graphics and audio. I like the fact your character has a voice. You may want to get to understand what the conversation icons mean, which will help decide the persona of your character, similar to Mass Effect.

All in all I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the world of Dragon Age 2.

"Well into the middle of the game"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

After skyrim and mass effect i wanted another game to be deeply invested in, were their any others out their- It was here i found DA:II

Its brilliant, in terms of story, and combat is pretty fun. It is a bit linear but your always going into mission areas eager for loot to sell.

I would advise playing dragon age origins, as you can import your save, their is a lot of past refrences but its not that nessesary to play.

Like I said im pretty deep in the game and the story, so im literally shouting at the tv when i see someone do something bad that affects the country, you just get so invested.

At 15 dollars, treat yourself, its brilliant ;)
