From the moment you press New Game you begin to shape your own story, whether you choose to be male or female, or a human an elf or a dwarf. Throughout the game as you encounter people you can decide how your character chooses to answer questions, all which effect the outcome of events in the future. This game is very addictive and, because there are so many options, you can't help but want to experience them all!!!

Dragon Age: Origins is an RPG that really immerses the player in a massive world. The story really grabs you from the start, and continues along as you progress.
The game is pretty big, having clocked up 30 hours of play with only 50% of the world explored so far, it will definitely keep me entertained for a long time to come.
The combat system on the PS3 is easy to use, being able to switch between characters in combat and take direct control of them really makes or breaks some of the tougher fights. Leveling feels natural, doesn't feel like you have to grind to get levels. Enemies scale as you level, so you can really explore anywhere at any time.
The only issue I've had with the PS3 version of DA:O is the intermittent freezing. Apparently caused by the 3.30 firmware upgrade of the PS3, Bioware are working on a patch to resolve this issue. Can be annoying at times, but I've found it hasn't hindered me too much.
Overall Dragon Age: Origins is a very solid RPG for the PS3, lots to do, fun to play and has an engaging story and characters. Definitely a must have for any RPG fans.
Great game for rpg fans Its got great graphics and a long story, havn't finished it yet Very easy 2 get sidetracked in other side quests The game freezes sometimes during normal gameplay, several times at the same place
This is one of my favourite Ps3 games. It's so much fun to play. Great buy.
But really, there's so much more to this game than making your party members fall in love with you. I guess that's the brilliance of it – there's so much to do! I'm a hardened JRPG fan, and after toying with the idea of purchasing this, I took the plunge. The first surprise was that the story is actually decent. I haven't finished it yet but I'm firmly hooked. The world of Ferelden is huge, and there's just so much stuff to do that you'll end up sinking hours into this shiny piece of plastic. The combat is typical WRPG, and there are frame rate issues, particularly when things on screen get hectic. Still, you'll get over it in the first hour or so. If you've got the PC for it, I'd definitely recommend that version, although the console one isn't broken by any means. Highly recommended!
If you are into hard core RPG then this is for you It may take a little time to come to terms with the leveling and skill/tallent systems but once you nail those the possibilties are endless. The quality of voice acting is good and the charater interaction is excellent. Hours of fun here and plenty of reasons to go back for a second and third run through. Also with all the DLC available for this game you can keep it fresh and it just keeps expanding!! Buy it, love it.
While a little slow at the start once you get into this game you'll find that sleep isn't as important as you once considered. The interaction between the characters in the game is fun with well scripted conversations. If you like RPGs this is a good game to buy.
Great game. Very challenging, hours of fun game play.
Only thing that lets this game down is possibly the controls. Maybe it's just me but I'm always struggling to work out what's going on. The story is rich and immersive and I love to watch it evolve.
Already looking forward to replaying it with a different character and making different decisions to see how differently the story plays with a different lead and different party members.
Origins was a pretty good buy – great storyline, graphics and action. However, I found the inclusion of mandatory relationships in the game to be rather tiresome. I lost interest in playing after only 5 hours because of this.
Even though I'm not Origins' biggest fan, I still appreciate the positive aspects of the game. It still is a really amazing concept and BioWare pulled it off well. 8/10
Dragon age origins is worth every cent as the game is very engaging and addictive. A must buy for RPG fans.
This game has it all, character customization right down to the rings u wear, epic battles, 1080p graphics and one of the most in depth story lines Ive ever played.
Amazing game and worth every cent
This game is perfect for people who are into people with special abilities, who are into quests and just perfect for people who are bored and need a good game they can get ADDICTED to because its so easy to. Must buy!
honestly i havent had any issues with the game freezing up on ps3 so it probably just means everyone needs to upgrade.
I have played this game so many times, playing through each origin story line (though always as a female). And I still love it! Each time through I find something new. The story line is engaging. You really find yourself getting emotionally involved with the characters. Normally I am not a fan of real-time battles controlling multiple characters, but in DA:O it works. And the codex entries- all that fascinating, and fun, information-it's so easy to start reading them in a quiet moment; then discover 1/2 an hour has passed. The world has such a rich and detailed history- it's not just a setting the characters are dumped in to fight it out. And I love how the origin stories weave into the greater storyline; and affect interactions with those you encounter on your journey. In all DA:O is fun, immersive, easy to pick up and play, and incredibly hard to put down. All RPG fans NEED this game!
5 out of 5.this game is amazing the graphics are not the best but the gameplay makes up for it.At the start you create you player pick your realm and start playing maybe one of the best ps3 games of all time.
