"Have You Seen Their Previous Work---"
3 stars"

It is a real shame to see this album not be par with their previous pieces of work. Their self-titled album does have some amazing songs, especially Massacre but still does not compare. If you are just discovering this band purchase their previous work first, it is really good. Saying that this album most definately has their best guitar work. Monty Money has created some amazing main song riffs including Massacre, Zombie Dance, Gorgeous Nightmare, Day Of Wreckoning and The Aftermath (G3). These riffs are insane but Craig Mabbitt (Lead Singer and Songwriter) has produced some strong lyrics in the past but in the songs Gorgeous Nightmare and City Of Sin there are some really unusual lyrics for this genre of music. What i'm really trying to say is, I have purchased this album and i'm still happy with it but their old work is very hard to beat. Hopefully in the future they move away from this poppier sound!!!

Description

Escape the Fate is an American post-hardcore from Las Vegas, formed in 2004. Since forming, they have released one EP and two full-length studio albums, the most recent being This War Is Ours on October 21, 2008.

Before forming Escape the Fate, vocalist Ronnie Radke, bassist Max Green, drummer Robert Ortiz, lead guitarist Bryan Monte Money, and rhythm guitarist Omar Espinosa were in multiple bands together.

In September 2005, Escape the Fate had won a local radio contest judged by My Chemical Romance. The gig awarded them the opportunity to open a show on the band's headlining tour with Alkaline Trio and Reggie and the Full Effect, which subsequently led to Escape the Fate's record deal with Epitaph.
