Foyle's war was one of the best shows screened on the ABC. It is well written and everything is period correct for the time of WW II. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the series for the second time on DVD. Highly recommended.

This series follows on from series one and is even better than the first, as the characters continue to develop and evolve.
These were originally shown as two-part stories and it is a pleasure to be able to watch each story in its entirity.
A must for lovers of British mystery, and stories set during WW2.
Only discovered this WW2 TV detective series on a recent visit to the UK. Halfway through season 2 but will probably end up buying all six seasons as am hooked! It was set in my home town too.
Again following on from Season One, another edition of this excellent series buiding on the main characters and providing more of an insight into what life was like during WW2 in England. I believe in America when this programme was aired ( on PBS )a detailed discussion and break down of everything from clothing, moral standards, technology, family life and life during different stages of the war were given. Unfortunatly it is not included on these discs but would be worth while finding.
