LEGO Rock Band reviews

Another terrific Rockband game.

Although the songs on here aren't really rock or they're mainstream rock, this game is great to play as you find most people know the songs (compared with Rockband where I tried playing it with someone and they only knew 2 songs = Epic Fail).

Judging by the song list, the fact that you can't get booed off stage (I had someone playing the drums then halfway through the song get up and walk out and come back at the end) and also the fact there is a new difficulty of “Very Easy” (where's the Extreme Expert?!) you can tell that the game was designed for kids.

So if you want a chilled Rockband session then this game is truly for you, but if you truly want to rock out, then try Rock Band or Rock Band 2!

A really wonderful game, the characters are endearing. My wife loves it!

Overall this game is excellent. It has more to it than the original rock band with the inclusion of a customizable entourage and rock den, creating albums during story mode, and rock power challenges. love the challenges, especially the ghostbusters video clip. Only things that could have improved it would be more female unlockable mini figures (as about 95% of them are males), the ability to change your characters skin colour, and the inclusion of more of the downloaded songs as make your own setlist gets a little tedious with the few songs you get to choose from. Minor issues though, not enough to lose this game a star.

If your looking for a game that the whole family can enjoy then this is for you.

Great game, very long however if your playing story mode with a band, lots of great songs.. Song selection for this title is very good and better than some of the other rock band games. Lots of costumes to buy and unlocks you get along the way through story mode, worth buying!

I really like some of the songs on this, especially Ruby by the Kaiser Chiefs, Let's Dance by Bowie, You Give Love a Bad Name by Bon Jovi and Free Falling by Tom Petty.

The Lego aspect doesn't make a big difference to the game because you're not building things. The cut scenes aren't as funny or interesting as the ones in Lego Batman and it sucks that you have to pay for things you've unlocked during gigs. We've had fun playing it though, and I can see that it would be very appealing for kids.

This game is one of the best band hero games Ive played! The song selection is awesome and there is plenty of unlocks as you progress through story mode. Awesome use of Lego figures and heaps of easy trophies for you trophy lovers!

This game carries on the Rock Band/Guitar Hero tradition style of games. You do not need to have or have played any of these (Rock Band/Guitar Hero) games to play this one. This game also is the first to have a ‘Super-Easy’ mode so that almost anyone can play. Super Easy mode allows people to either just strum a guitar without needing to press any of the fret notes (coloured buttons on the neck), or just sing along without a care on the microphone. On this mode you can't fail the songs and this allows people to enjoy the entire song. Also the lego brand is family orientated so is safe for all ages. It has loads of songs (several dozen I believe) and you can play on the guitar, microphone or drums for hours and hours. Also any of the Rock Band/Guitar guitars, mics or drums with work on this game as well so if you have any of those periphials then you are good to go.

The way I see it only the people who are bored of this genre or only like hardened rock (metal) will not like this game as it is obviously more family orientated.

I love this game mainly for the Lego aspect of it. As a huge Lego fan I just had to have this game in my collection, and I already had Guitar Hero so I was all ready to go.

Some of the songs are a bit dull and weird but there are other songs that are great, I guess they just need to appeal to everyone.

I love how you can buy different Lego men (such as a werewolf, pumpkin man, Frankenstein) and then use their parts to create your band member.
