Although the first avatar is better, this is still a must watch
Probably the weaker season of Korra and avatar in general for animation and story, book 3 made up for everything in the first 2 seasons, however if you want to follow the story book 2 is essential for understanding a lot of what is going on. Having said that, the Avatar Wan episodes were gorgeous and I would definitely recommend checking those two out at the very least.
