This excellent series tells of one man's life time quest to build an accurate clock to enable longitude to be found accurately at sea, and thus avoid tragic accidents in navigation. It weaves the story of a shell-shocked soldier restoring the original clocks at Greenwich with the dogged persistence of the inventor fighting for recognition of his achievements by the Royal Society.
