Description

Complete seasons 1–3 of the TV series Mrs Brown's Boys, plus both 2012 Christmas specials in a boxed set.

Series 1: Brilliantly funny Irish comedian Brendan O’Carroll stars as out-spoken Irish mammy Agnes Brown in this comedy series that aired on BBC One. Join Agnes Brown as she indulges in her favourite pastime – meddling in the lives of her six children! Whether she’s tackling love, life, death or dealing with the in-laws – Mrs Brown is one mammy that you don’t mess with. Prepare for a riot of bad behaviour – It’s a little bit rude, a little bit crude and hysterical fun for everyone. Episodes comprise: ‘The Mammy’, ‘Mammy's Secret’, ‘Mammy's Merchandise’, ‘Mammy Rides Again’, ‘Mammy of the Groom’ and ‘Mammy's Miracle’.

Series 2: The nation’s ‘Mammy’ of comedy is back and badder than ever in her second series. Thought you'd seen Mrs Brown at her most outrageous in series one? Well, you ain't seen nothing yet! Episodes Mammy Pulls It Off, Mammy's Coming!, iMammy (Batteries Not Included), SuperMammy, Mammy's Going, New Mammy.

Series 3: In this series, Cathy (Jennifer Gibney) lets slip that she's thinking about breast implants to please Professor Clowne (Mike Pyatt) and Agnes is eager not to spend another Valentine's Day on her own. The episodes comprise: ‘Mammy's Spell’, ‘Mammy's Inflation’, ‘Mammy's Break’, ‘Mammy's Valentine’, ‘Mammy?’ and ‘Mammy Swings’.

Mammy’s Christmas special: Having accidentally destroyed her Christmas tree Mrs Brown is visited by Father Damien, who tells her that she cannot play the Virgin Mary in the church nativity play as there will not be one this year. as a result she decides her write her own version. At the same time Cathy fools her into believing that she is being secretly filmed for a television show to find the best mother of the year. This makes Mrs Brown untypically nice to everybody – until she learns the truth.

The Virgin Mammy special: Agnes prepares for her unorthodox nativity play, provisionally entitled Men Are Bastards. She finds parts for all the family and their friends though the animals provided by Dermot are not exactly biblical. Having survived being locked into a wrist magnet to cure her rheumatism Agnes takes to the stage but the production is a disaster – Buster's angel Gabriel gets badly singed,Father Damien's trousers are ripped off him by the magnet and a shocked Hilary faints on stage. Worse Agnes has lost the doll to be used as baby Jesus and Grandad has to play the role instead. It's time for Cathy to sack her mother and rally the family for a more traditional nativity play – though of course Agnes has the last word.
