I love this charger. It charges the remotes while in the silicone sleeves as well as with the motion plus attached. I'm pleased and would recommend this product to anyone with a wii
Finally the Wii remotes are ready to go when we are, with out having to hunt around for new batteries, which we always used for something else
This is a great wii remote charger ,It charges the remotes when they're in the sleeves and with motion plus attached,Also charges them in a sort amount of time.
One problem with mine the life of the battery when fully charged isn't very long
No more removing covers – even my 5 year old can put the Wii Controllers on charge after use.
As the Wii has been out for so long, I have also gone through so many charger kits.
I have used regular batteries, regular rechargable batteries, rechargable battery packs, charging base sets and now this induction charger.
As you can imagine, I wasn't expecting great things with this set but, wow, was I surprised. The induction kit really does as it claims – you can charge your wiimote with the silicon cover or with the WM+. I use neither of these items (WM+ is in-built) but it's nice to know that I CAN without it being an issue.
An additional bonus is the wii-motes are magnetically pulled onto the base. Originally I was concerned about being able to charge the Wiimotes if I didn't line them up correctly. It turns out it doesn't matter, though – the magnetic pull will guide the Wiimote to where it needs to be.
The LED display letting you know which of your Wiimotes are fully charged is incredibly helpful, as well. My old charging kits (all of them) did not offer this kindness. My charging base would have, but I couldn't get it to charge my Wiimotes the majority of the time anyways. Or when it did, it would only charge 2 bars worth.
It's important to note this charger will charge your Wiimotes to the full capacity and will not leave you wanting to throw it out the window.
A bonus to the Wiimotes being magnetically held to the charging base means a very small reduction on cleaning up after earthquakes in Christchurch, too. For the most part – I don't imagine it would hold on to a 5+, but I'll let you know! – the Wiimotes will hang on and stay in place. Woo!
Finally, this induction charger station has the final quality of being a stylish display for your Wiimotes. While the charging stations were appealing to have your remotes displayed on the stand, the wrist straps dangled haphazardly in all directions and were a pain to align to fit your Wiimote in place.
This charger allows them to dangle over the edge, lined up nice and neatly. While you still have the straps dangling, it's a much tidier look.
Overall I would say this is the best charging kit I've used for my Wii remotes and can see it surviving for a very long time. Very recommended.
I purchased this product one year ago. We had the other type of charger before that. This product is amazing and is well worth the money. Don't buy anything else!
Love this product – makes life so much easier!! I was fed up constantly taking the remotes out of their jackets to charge them (it's a fiddly job!) Now I can just place them on the induction charger and they instantly start charging – wish I had bought this sooner!!!!
This is such an awesome idea. With our old charger we could only charge 2 controllers and the children usually forgot to put them in it properly. Now they just put them on the mat and they're instantly charging. No more frustrated children – the controllers are always ready. I can't speak for the longevity of this charger as we've only had it a few weeks but so far it is wonderful.
Easy to use and great if you have motion plus as other chargers would require you remove the motion plus attachment. Get the four charge as not much more expensive than the two charger and great if you decide to get an extra control (like I did for my shooting games).
Great service – thank you
A simple to use charging system for up to four wiimotes.
The beauty of this product is that there is no wires, no contacts to dock the wiimote onto or the need to take out the batteries out which is especially a pain if you have the silicon jacket and motion plus attachment as well. Just place the wiimote in any configuration (plain, jacket, motion plus etc) on the charger and the wiimote starts charging. Simple!
The battery packs contain a magnet which help position the wiimote on the charger. They are not strong enough to hold a wiimote vertically.
It takes about four hours to fully charge a wiimote using this system. The price difference between this four bay and the two bay is rather small, so this is the one to get for best value for money.
