Description
Mario is joined by other famous Nintendo characters who take on the role of captain. Players then select a host of popular teammates to make up the rest of the team.
Players form an original team by combining one of 12 captains with three of eight sidekicks before competing in one of the games many modes. Anything goes in Mario Strikers Charged as players are allowed to utilize a variety of special abilities to clinch important goals.
Features:
- Each captain has their own set of skills, super abilities as well as the ability to perform special shots called Mega Strikes, where the iron ball splits up to five balls and flies at the goal. The defending player must use the Wii Remote to target and aim at and shoot these balls out of the air before they concede a goal. In this game players can also charge energy to the metal ball, making it more likely to find its target when fired at goal.
- Each of the stadiums in Mario Strikers Charged have various characteristics and contraptions, which influence game play. Players must learn to use this to their advantage to truly dominate the pitch.
- Multiplayer: Mario Strikers Charged will not only feature an action packed multiplayer mode but will also support the Nintendo WiFi connection service, allowing players to take part in tournaments with people from all around the world.
- Use the skill the Wii Remote and Nunchuk Controller provide to win the ball, score unstoppable goals and take control of the goal keeper to perform spectacular saves

"Good Multiplayer Fun"
This is a nifty little game, with great online play and local multiplayer. The controls have a bit of a steep learning curve, but once you've mastered them this game is really fun. The graphics, as with any Nintendo spin-off game, are rather pretty, but nothing special. There isn't a lot of replay value in the game itself but the online is great. Four stars!
"The drought has ended!"
Finally, after being disappointed by the lack of durable games released on the Wii lately, cough cooking mama cough, Nintendo has done it! Mario Strikers Charged Football is awesome and has a highly addictive online mode where you can randomly play against other people around NZ and Australia or even Europe if you have a friend with the game from over that way.
I was apprehensive at trying this game out at first, as I'm not really a football fan but this game is just plain fun! It's not the easiest game to learn to play but half the fun is learning the controls. Once you have them down, the moves you can make are CRAZY! The game has some Mario Kart inherited items that can make the game very difficult for your opponent too.
The multiplayer function is addictively fun. We had four of us playing it in various combinations of 2 players a side and even four players against the computer. Plus, the two player mode can be extended to online play also.
There is a huge amount of stadiums in the game, unlockable characters, and the megashots are awesome fun too!
This game is highly recommended!
"Great Multiplayer Action"
This is a great Mario Sports title and the first of its kind on wii.
The multiplayer is great and im sure its better online but i havent tried it
yet
the graphics are average but hold up well and controlls couldnt be better
the overall atmosphere s brought together well on the wii with the great ingame
music the action replays and the cheering audience it really feels great.
if you want a decent multiplayer game on the wii then this is it .
