brilliant for using with cake mix and cupcake mix. The cupcake turns out looking very much like a skull. They look awesome in chocolate and in plan vanilla cake mix. They brought a smile to my son's face, when he saw them on his 6th birthday cake.

FRED’S BRAINY FROSTING
1 recipe for vanilla icing
red or black food coloring (or both)
pastry bag and a large round tip (#12 works well)
Make vanilla icing and add extra icing sugar if necessary until it‘s stiff enough to hold its form, yet still soft enough to pipe. Add food coloring(s) to reach desired color. If your cupcakes aren’t dome shaped, pile on a small mound of frosting first. Then pipe two lines down the center of the cupcake. Finally, pipe a squiggly pile of frosting onto each “hemisphere”. Mmmm…brains.
