Description

Burnout Paradise The Ultimate Box is a special edition release that  includes the award-winning Burnout Paradise game, the  previously-released Cagney and Bikes downloadable content updates, plus  the brand new Burnout Paradise Party pack. The Party pack brings the  social fun of Burnout Paradise into an offline multiplayer mode where  players compete in different stunt, speed and skill events. The mode is  designed to allow up to eight friends to “pass-the-pad” in dozens of  quick-fire, turn-based challenges. The Party pack will also include a host of new features including a restart option added for racing, easier control of the early vehicles, and for the PLAYSTATION 3 the new Burnout  Paradise Network. Burnout Paradise Network is a live news page that  enables players to keep track of friends and keep up with all the latest  Burnout news from either inside or outside the game.

Burnout Paradise The Ultimate Box marks the debut of the game on PC. The  PC version specifically includes multiple monitor displays support,  ultra high resolution graphics, motion blur, soft shadow effects and more.

Burnout 5 gives players license to wreak havoc in Paradise City, the ultimate seamless racing battleground, with a massive infrastructure of traffic-heavy roads to abuse. Gone is the need to jump in and out of menus and aimlessly search for fun like many open world games; in Burnout 5, every inch of the world is built to deliver heart-stopping Burnout-style gameplay. Every intersection is a potential crash junction and every alleyway is an opportunity to rack up moving violations.

Of course, rules are made to be broken, and when gamers enter Paradise City, they’re assigned a Drivers License that quickly begins to amass a record of player’s most aggressive, reckless and destructive exploits behind the wheel. But it’s not the law that’s eyeing player’s progress … when gamers push things too hard they’ll be squaring off against the city’s most infamous burners, and these legends aren’t interested in who crosses the finish line first.

4 stars "Burnout = Fun"

Any racing game with burnout in the title is going to be fun.

Hard to really review a game like this , the best way to see this game is by playing it, kinda like an up polished not so serious flat out ultimate, I personally think we need more games like this on the pc and in general.

Sometimes i feel like a serious raceing game, i really want to test myself and my skills, sometimes i don't, burnout fills that “i just wanna crash into stuff with my car” thing. – at least until a developer makes another carmagedon ( which i hope is soon :D).

4 stars "So much fun"

It's like a racing game, except most of the time the main goal is not to beat everyone else, but to force them to crash and ruin their cars. The city loads and you can just drive anywhere, choosing to do events you want to do, winning new cars and even customising them.

With the ultimate box there are also other vehicles such as motorbikes, though in this game they don't work as well, and you only get to play time trial races with these.

5 stars "awesome game but needs more cars.."

really awesome game!
but everyone will notice that the cars you unlock are exactly the same as the original car you completed the challenge with.
game lasts ages and is really fun online. Highly recommend this game to all the speed junkies out there :D

4 stars "Great smash em up car game"

I suppose that I am getting used to more simulation type driving games but this game is a welcome relief from that and provides just hard out smash em up fun. Not too much thinking involved. Great to unwind. Gotta luv it!!!! Yet to try the online features but I am sure that they will be just as good if not better.
