Description

Updated to run under Windows XP/Vista.

Build a dungeon to your own design, lay traps, recruit an army of foul creatures and lure the heroic adventurers to their doom in your quest to reach the surface world of humankind. Dungeon Keeper II is a genre-defying blend of real-time strategy, god sim, first-person action and fantasy role-play, Dungeon Keeper 2 places you in the role of sinister archfiend and master of the cavernous Underworld.

Dungeon Keeper 2 takes the Dungeon Keeper series to a completely new 3D environment. All the creatures are polygonal objects which lets us create far more varied and detailed animations and makes most of the cool lighting effects such as torches on the walls.

The amount of creatures, style and animation of environment, and multiple variable colour light sources represents a formidable task for any PC but Bullfrog believe you'll be amazed at what they can get your PC to do.

The key features:
· Acquire new abilities by taking first-person control of uniquely-skilled creatures
· Deploy your minions tactically with an innovative strategic skirmish system
· Forge a delicate alliance to exploit the might of the temperamental Horned Reaper
· Firestorm your opponents with the most spectacular battle magic ever conjured
· Fantastic Dungeon environment with new hardware accelerated engine
· A devilish host of Creatures/Rooms/Spells & Traps
· Play over the Internet using Bullfrog's Battle Server
· Wickedly alter skirmish settings to create your own Dungeon experience
· Set up chain reactions with the new Trigger Trap to ensnare the invading heroes
· Free Web download support after ship, more Levels, Creatures, Spells & Traps

# Pentium 166 MMX (Pentium II 266 recommended)

# No need for 3-D acceleration (software 3-D)
# Windows 95, 98, Me, XP

5 stars "Timelessly Epic"

If you had experience with Black and White 1 or 2, you'd absolutely love this game. It plays in a similar system, though this time you are limited to choosing between evil or more evil!

The game focuses on the fine details in comparison to Black and White's larger scale, it has an amazing amount of variety and “free-will”(so I call it) even to this day.

Dungeon Keeper 2 has merits that cannot be overcome by other games, it isn't surprising that this game first brought out my interest in gaming.

5 stars "Amazing"

Despite the graphics, which are still cool I might add. This game is FANTASTIC in every way and is unique to every other game-type because this has its own gaming genre that is unique to any other.

Absolutely 10/10 10 stars, a must get.

5 stars "Really fun, in an evil way"

First up, how cool is it to play the bad guy eh? Nothing is better than to stick it to those snobby goody goods. DK2 allows you control over a horde of evil/ugly and damnright nasty characters, but you don't have direct control over them. It's like a character management game and a RTS combined. If you don't look after your minions and give them what they want, they may not fight for you.

The aim of the whole game is to collect these crystalls which have been scattered across the relm, and each gem is now in the hands of some goody good knight. And as the name suggests, you dig out and live in dungeons!!

I personally loved the game, not just because the horny keeper goes out of his way to stomp on chicken in your hatcherys… that's another story, but it's just soooo cool.

Pros: Awesome characters, being the bad guy for once, traps
Cons: sound and music

5 stars "It's good to be bad..so true"

The concept is simple, build your dungeon, set up rooms from lair to casino, attract more demons, create traps then wait for those so call ‘Heroes’ to show up.
This game will exercise your inner evil, instead of worrying about how to defence your lair, your primary concern would be how to cook them this time
Kill them and raise them as mindless skeleton, capture them and put in the pit for training, or torture them and convert them to your side

And if your minions can't do the job right, you can possess them and change the interface to First person view and do the deed yourself
