5 stars "Fun for everyone!"

Disney Universe is one of those games that literally everyone can enjoy. Finally a game I can play with my wife and still have fun. Tink Littel Big Planet only easier (not so much in gameplay but in controls and puzzles). DU is a game you can play with partner, kids or scary neighbor next door. It is fun, challenging and visually stunning. Once again Disney has knocked it out of the park. With a variety of in game addons and cheaply purchasable levels and costume packs, this is a game you can plan to play for a long time with the family.

Definately worth a look and play, Disney Universe is well worth the purchase.

4 stars "Really fun"

It's the sort of game that is exactly what it looks like it will be. In a similar vein to Little Big Planet, but with Disney characters.

It's easy to pick up the gameplay, and delightfully fun to explore and unlock familiar Disney items and settings. Is largely based on the more modern disney era though, and that is a little bit of a let down.

Best played in groups. Lots of yelling across the lounge when you have four people playing.

Fun for old and young alike.

4 stars "A Game For All"

I didn't go into my time with Disney Universe with high expectations. On the periphery, it seemed like a shallow children's game from a developer that has been making licensed games for two decades. So when I found Disney Universe to be a fun experience, I was pleasantly surprised. A great easy game for kids or adults [:

Review by IGN
“I didn't go into my time with Disney Universe with high expectations…So when I found Disney Universe to be a fun experience, I was pleasantly surprised. While its title should suggest to you that it's not intended to be played by "hardcore” gamers, I couldn't help but think about how much fun my young nephews would have with a game like this… Disney Universe is a worthwhile investment if you’re looking to introduce a child in your life to a more robust variety of game beyond the “my first video game”-type titles that essentially play themselves. Disney Universe provides an experience that can be enjoyed both solo and locally with co-op, so you’ll have options. Plus, the game comes with reasons to revisit stages and collectibles to keep you coming back for more. Disney Universe has its problems, but it’s a solid title bound to please its intended audience."

IGN RATINGS FOR DISNEY UNIVERSE (PS3)
7.0 Presentation
A simple story and easy to navigate menus let you get right into the action. Load times are a little ridiculous considering the small nature of every stage.
7.0 Graphics
You’re not going to be blown-away, but you won’t shield your eyes in anguish, either. Disney Universe looks and runs just fine.
6.0 Sound
Sound effects can be redundant, and voice-acting isn’t as common as I would have liked. Still, the game’s narrative doesn’t necessarily demand attention to details like this.
7.0 Gameplay
A totally competent, combat-heavy platformer that kids are going to have fun with, even with some of its more annoying quirks. This game forgives mistakes, which avoids frustration.
8.0 Lasting Appeal
There’s a lot of game here. Finding all of the collectibles, gathering and leveling-up all of the costumes and earning gold medals on all of the stages should take no less than 12 hours, likely more.
