Saint Seiya: Sanctuary Battle will immerse players in the most popular drama from Saint Seiya: the Sanctuary, as Seiya and his companions fight side by side to defeat the gold saints of the twelve palaces and protect Athena. As players complete quests and progress through the twelve levels, they can inflict tremendous damage on their foes with fast-paced Cosmo power-up attacks.
Saint Seiya: Sanctuary Battle will also include a special mode which allows the player to go further in Saint Seiya universe with alternate stories to delight the fans. "Good but..."
Great nostalgic and classic game! But this game is good for only those who
understand Saint Seiya. I played and watched Saint Seiya games/anime since
I was 10–11 years old which is more than 20 years ago. Played the 1st and
2nd Saint Seiya games on NES/Famicom system. Then played it on PS1 and
2 systems, and now I m glad it comes out on PS3.
I want to give it 5 stars, but there are 3 problems that prevent me for
giving it 5 stars.
- The camera angle problem. There is no free camera control, or at least I have no clue how to control the camera. I already switched to custom control, but there is no option for it. Usually the camera control is on the right stick, but right stick does nothing! A 3D fighting/action Dynasty Warriors style game without camera control– Come on, thats just so EPIC FAIL!!
- The lack of battle animation like Naruto Ninja Storm. The fight is similar to Bleach which is pretty disappointing. Just smashing buttons, hit and run tactic to beat bosses is just boring.
- The new DLC characters that can be bought from PSN are VERY EXPENSIVE!! I think there r 6 DLC characters total, and each 1 is $10!!! Geezus!! So basically $60 to get complete characters…riiiiiight!!!! That is sooooo rip off!! I dont think I m gonna buy even 1 of them.
Overall, this game is ok. Just some problems I mentioned above. If u not sure, rent it first or borrow from friends or watch it on YouTube before buying it.
"Well worth the wait!"
The picture is awesome, the gameplay is faithful to the original, and it strikes the perfect balance between the anime's conversation-driven story and a PS3 game's fast-paced action. If you like Dynasty Warrior, you'll like this. If you like Saint Seiya series, you'll love this!
"Fans need to get this"
Since FC version there wasn't anything decent for Saint Seiya in the game industry, the ones on PS2 did not really satisfy anyone… but this one is great, it plays like Dynasty Warrior, but it stacked to the original story very much. It's released in Asia already, so fans already had very good reviews about this. If you are a fan of St.Seiya, you've got to get this!
