5 stars "If you're a fan of the original, then this is a MUST BUY."

Although the game is yet to be released, the hype for it is already driving FF fans crazy.

A bunch of new characters have been added such as FFXIII's Lightning, FFX's Yuna and FFVIII's Laguna Loire. The Story Mode has been revamped with a new World Map and with the overall mechanics tuneup (faster Chase battles for one), this is set to be an incredibly awesome addition to the original.

If you haven't picked up the original Dissidia then fear not; for the original story is being included along with Duodecim's story. And if you have got the original, it looks like you'll be able to transfer some of your data from the original to this game.

All in all, if you're a FF fan – you really don't have an excuse NOT to pick this up.

"Sweet Upgrade"

A great game for any Final Fantasy lover.
The new systems make things more interesting, as well as i was happy to find out you can transfer your character levels from the previous game (dissidia)
The new characters, although few are really cool, and like all the previous have there own signature play style.
I'm not fully convinced by the new story mode rpg style and find some of the easy battle tedious, But i suppose it is still a refreshing change from the original straight battle to battle and adds to the story-line.
A must buy for psp!!!

"One word. Amazing."

If you were a fan of Dissidia, or had picked up the game and not really enjoyed it at all then this is for you. Duodecim has made major changes to its style of play and introduced new systems into battles to further game play and make it much more enjoyable.

Additional characters are not a let down either with the introduction of Yuna, Laguna, Lightning and Tifa to name a few. Square Enix has branched out from swords and magic and taken it a bit further by including guns, Aeons and fist fighters. A diverse range of fighting styles makes the character selection much more appealing.

The world map has been greatly altered, you no longer play on a game board like map, instead you're free to roam a full world which is infested with Manikins, has moogle shops and treasure chests for you to find. Your first task will be assigned to the newer characters of the cast but once completed you are free to dive into a new chapter with a character of your choice and explore various stories for all characters.

The fighting system has also had a make over with the introduction of the assist system and a pretty EX makeover. Now, not only can you call on a character of your choice to assist you in battle but you can also use your EX mode to slow down time and deal some serious damage to the enemy. Small adjustments like these have caused players to think a little harder when it comes to battles and combos are much easier to pull off with assists.

I have managed to play the Japanese version and have enjoyed every second I've put into the game so far. Square Enix has taken Dissidia to a whole new level, one that I know will not leave any fan disappointed.

5 stars "Great game, great sequel...Wonderful Series"

The game itself has been wonderful to play, however there are some let downs. The assist system is a great idea, however online use gives major lagging issues.

Even though it is a prequel to the first Dissidia, it is a great sequel, however, the new characters gave it a slight let down.
Y no boss for FFXIII- i would love to have faced Cid Reines in Duodecium.

overall, full stars man!
