Wireless SingStar Microphones (PS2 and PS3)

Being a big singstar fan, I own nearly every singstar disc available. I'm still using the original ps2 microphones through all these years and I just can't wait for these wireless ones to come out. In a party scenario our mics get passed around a lot and it is always a hassle with cables getting tangled, drunks tripping over them etc. Wireless mics will be a bliss and from some other previews apparently these mics will have voice recognition capability – so we can order our singstar game to change songs without using the gamepads!
Can't wait to get hold of them!

I am a singstar fan – from Queen to Radiohead to Boy George. We play singstar almost every weekend and its just a hassle setting it up with the wires all over the place – and with 3 kids at home youngest being 2 – it can be a nightmare constantly telling them off tripping over the cords. WELL NO MORE!

We tested them as soon as they arrived and they are working perfectly. The range is pretty good too. We have the ps2 sitting on the floor with the wireless unit and we can stand as far back as 5 meters and it still picks it up (while standing, so there is no need to prop up the unit on top of the tv or whatever)

We also use our old infrared PS2 remote (that was used for playing DVDs) instead of a controller and now we have no wires at all.

Now our singstar nights will mean we just turn on the PS2 and pull out the mikes. No more setup. No more wires.

I'd say these will catch on quickly for die hard sing star fans as soon as people try them at friends – they will sell out.

Tip: Get some rechargeable AA batteries – I got some from trademe a pack of 8 for $15 incl postage

The cordless microphones are an instant hit with the kids. The instructions to setup are straight forward and my 9yr old daughter had the batteries in and powered up in no time. The voice recognition software is smooth and our children have no trouble giving verbal instructions to navigate through the game start. Having microphones without cords is a “must have” as the singers have freedom to move about as they really get into a song…priceless to watch.

These are the best microphones made for any gaming console. A sturdy shape, very lightweight and a great look are all fantastic attributes for the mics. They are so much easier to use, and much more fun to use because you can perform without knocking anything over. No clutter, and no cords. No one will be tripping over these wires any longer!

Fantastic no cords, can now dance and sing at same time without getting tangled up, and my little fellow can run away without pulling the whole Playstation out of the cabinet.
