I picked these up on Mighty Ape's recent sale for $15. I reckon they were
a good buy at the price!
The headphones have a comfortable fit, much like any in-ear bud design, and
are shipped with multiple rubber flanges for different ear sizes.
They also have an included microphone, which means you can use these with
your iPhone for calls, or on your PS4 controller as a headset with stereo sound
and mic for gaming.
The sound quality is not amazing (it's not horrible either, but these are
not going to beat your $200 Sennheisers – they are IMO better than a pair of
Ultimate Ears I had lying around, and hose anything in the same price
bracket).
The fit of the rubber flanges does an ok job of noise suppression around you,
but it's not perfect. Again, price, right- And there doesn't appear to be a lot
of noise insulation for transferred sound through the cable (e.g., as the cord
rubs on your jacket, whatever, you can hear it). I think if you're sitting
still, they'd be fine, but if you spent a lot of time walking/moving/whatever
the transferred noise could get annoying.
All up, I'm really pleased with them – again, they're very good for the
price. I picked 'em up for use with the PS4 controller/mic combo, and for that
they're perfect. They also work well for phone calls. They probably won't win
awards for music fidelity, but $15 – c'mon! Outstanding.
