We saw this movie on SBS World Movies during a special Studio Ghibli weekend. We instantly fell in love with it and wanted to see it again. It has quickly become a family favourite.

My daughter and I watched and enjoyed this recently. I found it a wonderful, sweet, and very memorable film while it was the first film that my daughter sat through entirely.
Very enjoyable to watch! :)
Recommended for the whole entire Family and for Studio Ghibli/Japanese Anime fans as well.
Wonderful movie for all ages to enjoy. Great animation and storyline.
Everything about this movie screams children's movie, but I am a 19 year old male, and I loved it from start to finish.
A story about a fish falling in love with a little boy and wanting to become human, you could say it's very Japanese, which is definitely a good thing here. I much prefer the original Japanese dialogue, but the English dub is voiced by some very big names and is still great, especially for the kids.
Everything from the fantastic musical score and the bright colours (which looks amazing on bluray) can all be summed up as ‘joyful heartfelt adventure’.
Studio Ghibli has once again produced an amazing anime. This movie could be for any ages, the animations are brilliantly done and the english voice actors are superb. This truly is an amazing movie which everyone needs to watch!
