Prince Avalanche is a 2013 American comedy drama movie on DVD.
Two men. The Texan wilderness. And a whole lot of lines.
From director David Gordon Green comes PRINCE AVALANCHE, a refreshingly
genuine, often absurdist, exploration in male bonding.
An odd couple of sorts, Alvin (Paul Rudd), meditative and stern, and his
girlfriend’s brother Lance (Emile Hirsch), dopey and insecure, leave the
city behind to spend the summer in solitude repainting traffic lines down the
center of a country highway ravaged by wildfire.
As the two begin their gradual journey across the landscape, swapping stories
and butting heads, what unfolds is a humorous yet moving examination of an
unlikely friendship.

Prince Avalanche Movie Reviews
“A wonderfully eccentric examination of unlikely friendships that
illuminates the absurd and lovely corners of life, Prince Avalanche is a deeply
enjoyable, wondrous delight.” The Playlist
“Here's a funny, poignant oddball of a movie, existing on a galaxy
far, far away from the likes of "Pacific Rim” or “World War Z” or anything
whose computer-generated actions speak louder than words." Chicago
Tribune
“Green fashions a slow-burn charmer that’s a million miles from
Pineapple Express in tone, pace and content. But just like that film, the odd
couple interplay is beautifully judged.” Total Film
“The psychological path of these characters is finely marked with
signposts, but as Prince Avalanche reaches its destination, you almost wish it
would have gotten a little more lost in the woods.” Slant Magazine
