"Very interesting - esp the Tiger drill"

Purchased on Mighty Ape

Haven't read this edition – purchased this for my fathers birthday. However, I read the 2002 edition some years ago. The drill to deal with Tigers & Panthers – using US Smoke rounds – should be better known.

Description

A ‘gritty’ history of the 4th New Zealand Armoured Brigade, from its formation in New Zealand through to its final campaign in Italy in 1945. Author Jeffrey Plowman is a well-established ‘armoured’ buff who has specialised in studying the history of New Zealand armoured fighting vehicles and units that used them. This history includes personal experiences from several crewmembers of the various types of tanks operated by the brigade. These stories show the brutality of war from a ‘tankies’ perspective. Well illustrated, with black and white photos, maps and diagrams.
