This is not the electronic music we've come to know Daft Punk for. They've gone so far as to change labels just so they can do it all over, start fresh and come back with an amazing album that combines elements of electronica with disco and funk.
It is an album, so listen to it that way – give it time, especially if you're a long time listener of their previous albums. It's nowhere near as pumping as their last album, Alive 2007, but not much could top that.
I've heard this described as Daft Punk making the music they've always wanted to make, the music they listened to and enjoyed. And I absolutely believe that. They've created the kind of music they've used samples from, not only for them to use in upcoming remixes but for others as well.
