Enjoyed the first game on the N64 (import and now a downloadable on the Wii) – much more of the same. If you enjoy a shoot-em up game with crafty bosses – get this game!
First game that seems to actually benefit from the motion control while retaining a degree of depth. Large amount of targets requires prioritzation of fire, variety of moves allows for exploration in most efficent ways to deal with various sections of the game.
Impressive level design throws all sorts of madness at the player while retaining some sense of logic due to novel use of the game mechanics.
Amazing art direction by Yasushi Suzuki, his boss designs are a sight to behold enemy's have a good amount of aesthetic variety and not once does the game become boring to look at. Like every game by Treasure ever, the plot makes no sense whatsoever but the cutscenes can be skipped if this annoys you.
The story can be played through within several hours but the main challenge is setting high scores on the leaderboards which should keep bringing hardcore players back.
