Grammy-winning “Somebody That I Used To Know” singer Kimbra recently returned with her altogether quirky new single “90s Music” — not to mention a cool and breezy M-Phazes remix of the song, which we premiered — and now she’s unveiling details about her sophomore album, The Golden Echo. According to a press release, Kimbra “wrote the songs in her bedroom studio on a farm in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles, where she was surrounded by sheep and lambs owned by her landlady.” How earthy!
Rich Costey (Birdy, Interpol, Muse) co-produced the album along with Kimbra, and shhe wrote several of the tracks with Silverchair‘s Daniel Johns. Also listed among the collaborators: John Legend, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy and Michael Shuman of Queens Of The Stone Age.
